Our story began 50 years ago in 1973, during the first oil crisis when we began producing down comforters in Yarmouth, Maine. At the time, down comforters were not widely used in the U.S and given the cost to heat homes, these comforters provided a welcomed solution. In the beginning, Cuddledown sold to friends and family, but that changed after placing advertisements in magazines. It was then that our catalog was conceived and customers beyond Maine began enjoying our products.
Since 1973, our product line has grown. In the beginning, our product line featured everything from ring-stitch comforters to ladies’ tights, and natural fiber snowsuits. Our product line continued to evolve – and now features, luxurious bedding, cozy sleepwear and slippers, high-quality towels, and much more.
The value our products bring to customers is so important to us, and providing the highest quality is at the heart of what we do. Our plush Bamboo Towels are so soft and silky that critics found themselves “reaching for it again and again” and the majority of our customers give them a five-star review. Since 1992, you have made our Money Percale Bedding a catalog staple and we have since expanded this beautiful design in multiple colors, with coordinating Coverlets and Bed Skirts. Our Lotte Fleece Bed Jackets are adored by so many because they are so light, soft, and cozy!
Another customer favorite includes our exclusive Cuddledown 400 Thread Count Sateen Sheets, and customers agree, they are five-star worthy! Providing year-round comfort, and offered in a wide variety of colors and patterns, the possibilities are endless to mix and match.

I have been using your wonderful bedding in my homes for decades and will buy nothing from anyone else.
I would like to see more updated colors in your scroll sateen collection. Most of the colors do not coordinate well with the newer patterns that you have now. You have wonderful soft colors in your other bedding collections but in the scroll they are all very strong hued.
