Recently we were honored once again to support the Travis Mills Foundation, as they were expecting a record number of Veterans and their families to visit the retreat this summer, and were very much in need of new bedding.
The Travis Mills Foundation is a nonprofit organization located in Rome, Maine that supports post-911 recalibrated veterans at their no-cost retreat. Veterans and their families are able to relax and bond with their loved ones, in the great Maine outdoors, through various activities from yoga and archery, to boating and pottery, and more!
Mills was injured while on deployment in Afghanistan in 2012. After returning home, and facing the challenges of returning to normalcy, Travis and his wife Kelsey founded the Travis Mills Foundation, in hopes of helping other injured servicemen and women. Ten years later, the foundation has served 882 families from various states across North America. Since his service, Travis has written a book, appeared on nationally broadcast television, been the subject of a documentary, and has become an inspiration for so many. Travis and Kelsey also recently competed on NBC’s ‘The Wall’ and raised money for the foundation.
We previously donated handcrafted comforters, pillows, and other luxury linens when the retreat was preparing to open back in 2017, and it was our pleasure to provide them with our customer-favorite Sateen bedding once again. The staff at the Travis Mills Foundation told us that the bedding had to be from Cuddledown, as guests often say that one of their favorite parts about the retreat is how comfortable the bedding is. We were thrilled to hear that our bedding provided such a restful night’s sleep for those visiting the foundation.

We’re proud to have assisted such a wonderful foundation and look forward to supporting them again in the future.
