With Halloween almost upon us, what better time to bake a batch of holiday treats, or make some DIY decorations?

We love the idea of painting pumpkins as a stylish alternative to carving them, as seen in Country Living Magazine. Simply use painter’s tape as a guide, and use a foam brush to cover your pumpkin with acrylic paint.

If you’re planning on having a Halloween get-together (or if you just want to make your house extra festive), Martha Stewart Living has a fun and easy craft idea – tissue paper spiderwebs!

If you’ve fully decorated your place but still need spooky treats, why not whip up a batch of these adorable black cat cupcakes from Better Homes and Gardens?

Tell us, are you getting excited for Halloween? We’d love to hear in the comments section below (and we hope everyone is safe and sound after the hurricane!).
