I haven’t personally experienced our Synthetic Fill 400 Thread Count Cotton Sateen Comforter, but this review from one of our customers in Chicago has me convinced:
Heavenly!!
I purchased an Oversized Queen summer weight in whisper green and have used it daily for almost 4 months now along with the featherweight cotton batiste sheets. I cannot think of a better way to describe how fabulous it is to sleep between these pieces other than to say it is like sleeping in a creamy cloud. I am actually embarassed to use that description but it was my first impression 4 months ago and it has stayed with me.
It’s a bit bizarre because the comforter material and weight are so light that you almost can’t feel it on your body. There is no heaviness to it, which makes it very easy to move underneath the blanket and shift the big body pillow without fighting against the blanket, yet it keeps you warm. We keep a cool house (72). My husband runs hot and I’m middle of the road. The summer weight is more than warm for our home (in Chicago).
The whisper green is beautiful though it actually looks like a very pale blue. I have yet to see it as green. I was surprised when I first got the comforter but found the color so beautiful that it actually motivated me to repaint my bedroom to the lighter, airy color I had been wanting for a while now. THAT is how fabulous this comforter is … I restyled and repainted my whole bedroom to match the pale blue … and it looks great! 🙂
All this being said, the comforter can look a bit lumpy for lack of a better word. It’s not a problem for us, but for those seeking a smooth, maybe more refined appearance, this is something to consider. Also, I ordered the oversized queen and it’s too big for my standard queen size. Yes, entirely my fault. I was thinking it would be good to have a little extra comforter but it is in fact too much for our bed. The bottom corners hang to the floor and there is quite a bit of adjusting to balance both sides when making the bed. Not a criticism of the comforter, just a caution to those who (like me) may not focus on the actual measurements before ordering.
Without question I would recommend this to others and am actually considering this as a gift for mom.
