Patrick Dempsey meets Nina Brown - Dempsey Challenge
Team Orange Dragons Against Cancer has done it again! Final results won’t be in until after this weekends’ Dempsey Challenge – but this team (founded by former long-time Cuddledown employee Nina Brown) not only exceeded their fundraising goal of $10,000, but also were in the top ten largest groups participating! Several Cuddledown employees helped fundraise and/or will be participating in this weekend’s events, walking, running or riding!
The Dempsey Challenge raises money to help fund The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing in Lewiston, Maine, founded by actor Patrick Dempsey of Grey’s Anatomy fame. Dempsey himself attends the annual event (including riding in the biking portion of the event). At last year’s event, Nina was able to meet “McDreamy” up close and in person, and she said he was extremely kind and empathetic, speaking with survivors and family members of those who have suffered the scourge of cancer.
